I started this blog when my reflections on life felt like they needed to go beyond the pages of my journal and perhaps reach others who could either learn from what I'd experienced, or who needed encouragement from someone who'd been there.
As my husband and I prepared to welcome a little girl into our family, these reflections turned to topics like birth, family, and parenthood.
I've never been a fan of the term "mommy blogger" (too cliche and I'd like to think I'm more counter-culture), but in fact I am a mom who writes about her life and what she learns from it.
My goal is to be real, be reflective, and both to write for my own brain and to share what I am ultimately passionate about - being an advocate for yourself and your evidenced based decisions.
These posts are my attempt to be vulnerable; learn from what life throws at me; and stand up for myself, my kids, and the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Other than writing, I also enjoy Zumba, quilling, healthy eating, anything chocolate, and spending time with my family.
